Cooking Class: Argentine Cuisine
A feast for the senses
Let Chef Daniel transport you to Argentina, land of tango and many other passions. During this Argentine food cooking class we will make a typical multi-layered feast.
Starting with empanadas with three different fillings, the class will cover how to make Argentine chorizos from scratch with all the typical flavorings.
Argentines are well known for their expertise in barbecues, and how to enhance the overall experience. We together we will make some simple salads that go very well with the richness of the meat.
Perhaps more importantly, we will make chimichurri, the ubiquitous dressing in any proper Argentine table, from scratch,.
To finish Chef Daniel will be serving dulce de leche crepes, his dessert of choice when he was a little boy eating out with his family, and served in every restaurant in Buenos Aires..
- Empanadas Beef, chicken and spinach
- Chimichurri Sauce
- Argentine Barbecue Salads Potato, carrots and sweet peas Ensalada criolla with bell pepper, tomatoes and onions
- Choripan Argentine style chorizo served with typical bread and chimichurri
- Dulce de Leche Crepes Prepared in advance by Chef Daniel
You are welcome to bring your own beverage. Suggestions include a Malbec (for example from Bodega Catena) for the main course and perhaps a dry Cinzano to drink as the class gets started or with dessert.
