Paella and Tapas
Join Chef Daniel for a night in Spain, learning how to make a seafood paella and two tapas, all staples of Spanish cuisine.
Setas al ajillo is very simple and delicious small dish that can be prepared really quickly.
Tortilla de patatas, served everywhere in Spain, is a versatile and can be served in a number of ways and always sure to delight.
Chef Daniel will explain the intricacies of making a paella, talk about the rice used and the appropriate spices. While learning to make this dish he will give you a plethora of information that will expand your toolset in the kitchen.
To finish the meal Chef Daniel will serve you his very enticing version of flan.
We will be eating the tapas as we work on the paella, which will be served towards the end of class.
- Tortilla de patatas (Spanish potato omelette; hands-on in groups of 2)
- Setas al ajillo (mushrooms with garlic, parsley, olive oil and lemon) (demonstration only)
- Seafood paella
- Avocado, orange and tomato salad (prepared by Chef Daniel during the class for your enjoyment)
- Flan w/dulce de leche (prepared in advance by Chef Daniel for your enjoyment)
You are welcome to bring your own beverage. Suggestions include a good Rioja or Tempranillo.
